Trying to upgrade my processer a little technical help please....?

currently have AMD Athlon XP 2 ghz, i know dats why im upgrading it. now ive hit a bit of a prob with the motherboard - Gigabyte exactly - GA7VT600 1.x. now it seems to be alot A fit. is der any way i can actually put a GOOD rocesser into this. If not can you recomend a motherboard that will take AGP graphics card- as i have just bought one, and ddr ram again as i have just bought one and am a student with no money to replace the parts i have previously bought yet.
