Why does the Knicks media make it look like Melo has all the power?

He's not selfish at all... if a player doesn't want to sign an extension, they don't have to. He's still honoring his contract as well by playing and playing well. It's not like the Nuggets are bottom feeders this year. Billups is getting old in his age and his numbers are all down. He knows exactly what he's doing, as does his agent who I'm pretty sure gets a percentage out of the contract he signs as well.
