Fallout New Vegas Bug?

I an trying to get the brotherhood of steel to support me for the hoover dam battle, but it doesn't let me. I've done everything they wanted me to do and i even became a brotherhood of steel member. Whenever I try to ask the elder hardin guy it doesn't give me the option of asking him to help me. Is this a fixable bug or should i just load a save before i found the brotherhood.
